INTERESTING FACTS
What makes Beud Anka Fishing's fish products unique?
At Beud Anka Fishing, we pride ourselves on offering high-quality fish products that are truly exceptional.
By employing "Best Practice" fishing methods, we dispatch our fish quickly and humanely using the "Ikijime" method of brain spiking, bleeding and immediately placing fish into an ice slurry brine, in order to bring the core temperature of the fish down to 0˚c as quick as possible. This process drastically reduces stress to the fish, which in turn will maximise the taste, improve flesh quality and greatly improves storage/shelf life of the flesh.
Our collection of Reef Fish, including the iconic Coral Trout, are carefully sourced and selected for their exceptional taste and texture. We believe in providing our customers with fish that can elevate their culinary experiences, whether it's for everyday cooking or special occasions.

Let your creativity shine and explore the endless possibilities of our exceptional fish.
Are Beud Anka Fishing's fish products sustainably sourced?
Yes, sustainability is a core value at Beud Anka Fishing. We are committed to responsible fishing practices and ensuring the long-term health of our oceans. Our fish products are sourced from sustainable fisheries, and we work closely with our suppliers to ensure ethical and environmentally-friendly practices. By choosing Beud Anka Fishing, you can enjoy our delicious fish products with peace of mind.
Does Beud Anka Fishing sell Imported or Farmed products?
No. We are passionate supporters of Queensland and Australian wild caught fisheries.
When purchasing Imported seafood, there is more than a good chance that it has been supplied from an unmanaged, unsustainable fishery, using exploitive and destructive fishing practices. It can also pose a biosecurity risk, by poor handling and contamination from foreign waters, which can be detrimental to your health. By not having the stringent regulations and management programs, that are imposed on Queensland and Australian fisheries, imported seafood is and will always be of a poorer quality and not sustainable, as opposed to Australian local wild caught.
The only Farmed seafood product Beud Anka Fishing supports, is Australian seafood that is "Ocean Farmed" ie; product that lives naturally in its environment, eating a varied diet of food that naturally occurs specific to where it lives and is not "pellet fed".
Example of sustainable "Ocean Farmed" products are Oysters and Mussels.
Other forms of Aquaculture farming where the product is bred and grown out in artificial ponds with excessive high stock rates and artificially fed a diet of manufactured pellet, can pose a significant health risk to you. Due to high stocking rates and poor water quality from animal faeces and unconsumed pellet, can lead to diseases, poor quality and most importantly taste. The nutritional value is also deficient as opposed to wild caught and it is also documented that trace elements from the chemicals and other animal by-products used/added to manufactured pellet food can be found in the product to be consumed.
When it comes down to taste, quality, your health, knowing where the product is caught and ethically sourced from sustainable fisheries that are managed and considered "World's Best Practice", Australian wild caught seafood cannot be surpassed.
